When the children of Israel wandered for so long, God sustained them day by day. Daily there was enough nourishment-in the form of manna*-to get through that day. As I have wandered through the bewilder-ness of life, God has strengthened me by His word. Just enough for that day. This blog is a place to "pass the plate" and share the manna that has sustained my moments. And it's a place to add your insights so we can share the meal together. Bon Appetite.

A few years ago it occurred to me that Jesus told the disciples to cross the lake, so they were being obedient to him when the storms arose. The storms were not a result of their disobedience. It's still true today: we can find ourselves in the midst of turmoil and trouble even when we walk close to God. The best part is what you said, we can trust him to get us to his chosen destination despite those storms. Sometimes the storms can even provide a route to extra special blessings.
